So I’ve been propagating this pothos for 3 months now and recently put it on the window sill. Sadly the other day my cats got a hold of it pulled it out of the vase while I was at work which left it on my desk to dry out :( Any advice on saving it? I would be so sad to lose it after all this progress. I put it back in the vase and it’s been ok but this is what it the roots look like now. Do I need to cut off the brown parts of the roots?

Brief info dump: Usually if the roots are brown or mushy they have rotted. Always trim those bits! Do you plan to pot this in soil or have it be a water plant? With how long the one root is, you might be able to get away with potting it as long as it isn’t squishy, but you can also choose to wait until other nodes produce some roots. I’m pretty confident the plant will be okay because Pothos plants are incredibly durable—I would just keep it away from your cat because they are toxic to them! Pothos plants like to be root bound to some degree as well so make sure you don’t put it in too large of a pot to start out (a 3-4 inch pot that isn’t too deep would be plenty) and they like like but don’t need full sun 👍🏻

To help with faster rooting slightly scrape the “skin” on those tiny aerial nodes that are on the stem. It will cause the plant to switch into root growing mode on those sites. The coating that’s on aerial roots tends to prevent true roots from forming.
