How cold can Pink Lady apple trees tolerate? I found a growing seedling in an apple and am planning on growing it into a producing tree. Around here, it has gotten down to -15°F. Is that too cold for them?

They survive in zones 5 to 8 or 9. From what i can tell they’re easy as far as fruit trees go. Pretty hardy! They are not self fruiting though so you’ll need another variety nearby to cross pollinate.

So I cannot have two Pink Ladies?

Yes, if they are good with our zone 5 bitter cold here in Michigan, they are some tough plants!

Unfortunately not if you want fruiting trees.

I LOVE apple trees. A classic, like a Gala would be a great choice for pollination.

You will not get the same apple from a tree grown from seed, I'm sorry to say. Like avocados, in order to get fruit that is edible/close in taste to the fruit you got the seed from, you will need to have a grafted specimen.
