Help needed. This is a repost as the first time got no response. I got these “corms” off of my Kentia palm. How do I propagate them and is it okay if they were the corms at the base of the stem?

I see a lot of people on YouTube use fluval stratum. You would need to cover it to get 100% humidity and use a grow light.
0 Me gustaThank you! Does it matter if these corms were kind of cracked open, wrapped around the base of the stem. I’m wondering if that means they’ve already been “used” and I actually need to dig down and get “in used” corms. I know nothing about corms.

You would need fresh ripened fruit/nut to propagate which takes a very long time to germinate (many months to even a year) depending on your conditions. These nuts fall from the branches and once they have dried out with their husks already exposed, unfortunately it’s too late and no longer viable. 🙁
