Do my propagations have root rot? I don’t know what I’m doing wrong but they don’t seem to be growing roots anymore 😭

Are they squishy? If they are, then yes most likely a bit of rot. Give them a good rinse… they look ok
1 j'aimeNot too squishy. I rinsed them and put them in some fresh water so I’ll keep my fingers crossed.
0 J'aimeYou can plant a prop when the roots reach around 2 inches long, so that first little guy of yours is ready for soil! Propagation is a waiting game, but if your guy is pushing out at least one root (appears so for your monstera?) then in my experience that's a great sign. Highly recommend rooting hormone powder as well to speed up the process.
3 J'aimeOh awesome, I’ll get him planted today then and hopefully he’ll be okay. I’ll look into rooting hormone powder as well. Thank you for the advice!
2 J'aimeTo moniter root growth in soil, I like to give my propagations a little "tug" (kinda like you're pulling a weed but be gentle) and feel if there's any resistance. If your plant doesn't wanna come out, it's grown and established a root system that keeps it in the soil (yay!). Probs wait a week before you pull test to give it enough time to get used to its new environment 😉
1 j'aimeIf I do the tug test and it does want to come out, should I put it back in water?
1 j'aimeGood question, and nope! That just means its roots haven't spread into the surrounding soil. Just let it do its thing. It's more a "peace of mind" kinda thing :)
1 j'aimeStart fertilizing them with 50% diluted when roots appear. I add SuperThrive plant vitamins as well.
