My teacher has put me in charge of her plants for the rest of the year because she said I seem to know more about it than her! And I’m wondering how to propagate an aloe Vera?

You can snip off a good chunk and let it callus, then plant it (ideally with some rooting hormone). I will say it is easier to just divide out a pup, if it has them.

    Do you water propagate it?

some people will wrap it in damp (not wet) newspapers or peat moss and put them inside a plastic bag or a container to retain moisture so they will callus and then plant them afterwards in soil. this will allow them to root better & gives it a higher chance of being a successful propagation
