Last week an albo I ordered arrived. It suffered from transplant shock. Today I found out it has rotted away. I have since cut it into several babies and they are currently soaking in a 3%hydrogen peroxide + water solution and tomorrow I will transition them to fluval. I do not have a propagation set up and my query is: will bright indirect light be enough? **I have failed multiple times trying to propagate albos is various medium. So now I am going for fluval
I’ve never propagated albos before but when I have propagated any plant I typically keep it in medium to low light, like several feet from the window on my coffee table or counter
2 J'aimeAgree, keep it out of bright light because you’re going to tax the leaves that are trying to photosynthesize the sun. The plant needs to rest and focus on root growth now not leaves so it does best in lower light. Also, do not let the sun shine on those roots. I generally cover my glass by wrapping a fabric around it so it has some “privacy” to stimulate root growth. Remember roots grow down in soil where it’s dark not in light.
