Growing three varieties of okra; noticed two cells have this white stringy stuff on them, which I assume to be fungi? Now I know this potting soil has beneficial fungi in it, so should I let them chill or take action?

Water less often and increase air circulation. Consider one or more of the following: mist with a diluted hydrogen peroxide solution, or 1 tsp baking soda in one quart of water. You can also gently scrape off the mold from the surface and/or give it a light sprinkling of cinnamon to inhibit the mold. If the problem is left unaddressed it could lead to damping off which would kill your crop of okra.
좋아요 1개I second the hydrogen peroxide! I get this same mold every sprouting season. Only happens indoors -- sunlight prohibits the mold growth.
좋아요 1개I went ahead and doused the two cells with cinnamon and am no longer putting back on the humidity dome. I am hoping that helps. Unfortunately, weather here will not return to being consistently > 60+ until next week so I don't think I can expose it to sunlight yet
