My suggestion: keep them in there as long as possible. In my experience they actually take a long time to root, but I’ve got some that have been in water for a month (or two? 🫣) and are just now rooting. It is possible! And the top cuttings are pushing out new leaves too, so I’d say they just need time!
4件のいいねScindaous cuttings are known to root slowly. I add diluted fertilizer as soon as the roots emerge. I also add SuperThrive liquid plant vitamins plus a rooting hormone powder which makes the water chalky and messy. I recommend using a rooting hormone in liquid form. Others have added pothos cuttings to their propagations because they produce rooting hormones that benefit slow rooting plants. I also place the cuttings close to a grow light to control the lighting. I changed the water once a week adding back the diluted fertilizer and other additives with each water change. Humidity is high in my area. But, I would add a humidifier if needed. Folding leaves , spots, yellowing and dropped leaves are common with cuttings. Those leaves tend to die off later as the plant focuses on growing new growth and roots for its survival. 🪴🍀

いいね 1件I root all my scindapsus in fluval stratum, it’s a substrate used for aquatic plants in shrimp aquariums and is working fantastically! They root quicker, very few rot and they do not curl up at all so i really recommend it! I also avoid keeping them in a too bright spot since that can make them curl before they manage to produce roots to absorb water 😇
