Help! My water propagation stems keeping rotting and i’m having to cut further and further up the stem to rid the cutting of the rot. I let them callous but they still go mushy. Any tips?

    Put some cinnamon on the wound before you let it callous over. That is what I do.

    Couple drops of hydrogen peroxide in the water suppose to help mold. I do it but still get mold however I don’t always change my water (I like to top off).

    *disclaimer: crazy thing that works* put crazy glue and then let it callous for a day or so.

      Do you think I could use keiki paste as a pseudo callous and pop it in water immediately? Unless it’s like a cactus

    I had this exact problem recently.. I added a tiny bit of rubbing alcohol to my water prop after cleaning them thoroughly and it didn’t come back again!

      Do you think rubbing alcohol or hydrogen peroxide is better and are they both safe for cuttings?

      I think people recommend hydrogen peroxide but I only had rubbing alcohol and went for it because I didn’t have much to lose
