Hi guys! I recently propagated some different cuttings of my golden pothos plant in water. I got some roots growing on it (decently long) then moved it to soil. It’s been in soil for about 2 weeks now and all the leaves are turning yellow. Any idea as to why? Is there something I should have done when moving from water to soil? (Photo is from before it started to turn yellow)
Water roots are different than soil roots. So now it’s concentrating on growing soil roots. You can trim any dead leaves and let it spend its energy on growing soil roots. It’s not a lost cause, just will take time. Sometimes propagating in stratum/perlite works better. Even spaghum moss. But attached, I also am doing soil. So far so good.

좋아요 1개 Kate, full disclosure. My props were NOT doing well moving to soil. I wanted to save them, so moved to perlite/stratum. Seems to be going well so far.

Yellowing can be from low light, low fertilizer or too much water. Let the soil dry out if you are using a self watering pot. Continuously wet soil can lead to overwatering. Give it a grow light or move it into brighter indirect light. Fertilize every two weeks with 50% diluted fertilizer. 🪴🍀
