Question, when do you know propagation is an option, talking monesteras and antheriums mainly

    Hey! It depends what is your goal. If you just want more plants, then at any point when seeing an aerial root, you can cut below. If you are losing variegation, you usually cut above the last node with varigation. If the plant has outgrown the space, you cut so it fits again. If the plant is unstable, you can cut to prevent the stem from breaking. I know I’m very vague but if you are willing to provide more context, i might have a better answer.

      Thank you for this, I’m looking to mainly continue and aim for concentrated variegation so I think you answered 😀

      No problem at all! For variegation, you just need to keep in mind where is the axillary bud is located vs the variegation on your stem. Because some plants have chimeral variegation, meaning that if you take my advice but the bud is in a green section, you might end up with a reverted growth. It doesn’t mean you will but it is something to keep in mind 😊
