How long should i keep this cutting in water? Would clay balls be better for this? Any ideas or suggestions are amazing thank!!

    I’d let the roots become a little more established before removing from water. You want to ensure it has a healthy root system first.

    Agree with Destinie — if the goal is to propagate and put in soil there’s no need to add LECA. If you want to grow it semi-hydroponically you can add the LECA

    When propagating most plants it’s best to wait to take them out of water until they are 2+” or are starting to grow secondary roots

    I like to use Leca, it makes for an easier transfer from water to soil. Growing in water gives you “water roots” which you’ll have to keep an eye on when transferring to soil. I find Leca is that middle ground.
