I have this Polly alocasia and Ive never seen another one of these seeds in the soil until just now repotting to more breathable soil its always only had one of these white h the big leaf is alr out of in the picture it’s not a corm like what usually grows from the roots I just am not sure if I can plant it in soil without roots?? Or is it best to be put in water for a bit like the corms if anyone knows and could help me out I’d appreciate it:)💚💚

So many misspellings it’s very hard to understand what you’re saying. Why do you think it’s not a corm?

Lol I didn’t see the misspelling till now sorry, but I didn’t think it was a corm bc I already collected them about just this last month they are usually smaller and I was trying to say it looks big already like the one with the leaf already grown I’ve had it for a really long time repotted it like two times and never seen this other big seed I don’t necessarily care to find out what it is obviously it’s a seed or a corm I just want to know the best way to help it start growing!

Yeah that’s a mother corm… usually from a full grown alocasia. Maybe there was another alocasia in there with it at one point that lost all its leaves… you can definitely resprout it. Put it in a mix of fluval stratum, pon, & perlite. It will grow like a charm in a month or so. You can even grow your alocasia in it and it will grow amazing water roots. That will help you with your root rot problem you posted about in your other post. Watch some YouTube videos on alocasias in semi hydro (I prefer pon vs. leca) and watch YouTube videos on sprouting corms
