Are these pothos ready to be planted with soil? Should I wait for more roots? I’m new to this. A friend gave me a cut of their giant pothos and I’m not sure what to do with it

    whatever feels right. i’ve had success both ways: leaving in water arguably too long or planting in soil sooner than later. in my experience pothos are hard to kill.

    I’ve had so many experiences with bad soils this year (Canada), I’m in the middle of propagating one as well and I plant to just keep it in water forever. They can live both ways, you just need to change the water every one to two weeks if you plant on keeping it in water, or soil every year or two.

    Most plants do well in soil with at least two inches of roots. Pothos plants are very resilient. They do well in both soil and water. It’s fine to plant now. I add rooting hormone powder or liquid m. I also fertilize twice a month with 50% diluted fertilizer and add SuperThrive Plant Vitamins. 🪴🍀
