   They do well in soil. Use a small starter pot like a 2 inch or 3 inch wide pot. I have even used Jell-O shots plastic cups. Let the baby spider plant grow aerial roots before propagating. Use a soil mix with lots of perlite for drainage. Water when the soil dries out 1 inch deep. Use diluted fertilizer every two weeks. Put it in bright indirect sunlight and warm temperatures. You can propagate in water by using a container that keeps the leaves above water. You can use plastic wrap, thin styrofoam or foil to suspend the roots in the water. Change the water when cloudy. Fertilize with diluted liquid fertilizer every two weeks. 🪴🍀

   I don’t know if you need tips. I’ve only done it twice, but it was super simple. I cut off the babies, put them in water for a few weeks until they showed strong, secondary roots, tucked them in the soil in a bald spot in my plant, and they’ve been doing great ever since! Surprisingly, the propagations have even been pretty drought tolerant. I didn’t lose any of the growth, even though I forgot to water the newly potted propagations a little more frequently…

   I snipped mine off and wrapped a moist paper towel around it and put it in a bright window and its roots grew so fast! Just recently took off the paper towel and just kept growing it in water!

   I use little glass tiny vases from a thrift store! I just add water every couple days to keep the node in water and wait a bit for the roots to grow enough. Pretty fool proof and easy!!
