Has anyone had any luck with propagating polka dot plants? I tried putting some cuttings in water but they’ve wilted and don’t seem to be forming any roots… any tips?

I’m trying to propagate a few cuttings right now too! I placed them with stems submerged in a small jar of water. They wilted at first, so I have now placed the small jar in a larger jar with a little water at the bottom. I open it up to change out the water every few days. The leaves are far less wilted now, I think the higher humidity is helping, but no roots emerging yet. If this method doesn’t work, I’m going to try some new cuttings and use rooting hormone.

hi! successful polka propper here! it may just be adjusting depending on how long ago you chopped. mine weren't very happy overall when they were in water, so the moment they grew long enough roots i potted them & they perked right up! totally normal for them to look sad.

Do you have any tips on propagating them like how much to cut etc.? The cuttings I put in water didn’t grow any roots at all so I want to try again

have at least four inches of stem and one node completely bare to sit in water. if you have leaves submerged they just rot. keep in mind it may take up to a month for them to start rooting! if they're not wilting they'll do something eventually!
