    Does the callous feel dry? And textured? If so it should be fine, but you can also try put it in water too

    I would probably leave it for 5+ days. These need a really good callus to have any chance at all. And as PlantyAnn said, its a low likelihood that you’ll have success with a cutting like this for an Aloe. BUT thats the best thing about plants! Experimenting! If it work’s awesome. If it doesn’t, then oh well :) Aloe’s actually have root nodes similar to many other types of plants. They are MUCH more subtle and harder to distinguish, but they’re there. So the fact that your piece doesn’t have a node is why it is much more unlikely its going to work. But good luck!
