Does anyone know if a polka dot plant would root along its stems if they were pinned down into the soil (kinda like you would do for a plant with areal roots. Pothos, monstera etc) My polka dot plant got super leggy, but now has grown new plants at its base It still has the long stems attached with some leafs still doing well at the top, so I staked it up as it was getting floppy. If I took off the dying leafs in the middle and then circled the stems around the pot and pinned them down do we think they’d root? I’ve never been able to prop my polka dot cuttings in water.

Remove the sticks and let it trail along and it’ll self propagate and fill up!

Oh will it? Most of the leaves along the stem have now fallen off save a couple so I was going to pin it down but if it’ll just do it on its own maybe I don’t need to hunt around for something to use!
