This echeveria is under a grow light but is still etiolating and from my understanding they shouldn’t do this. Should I chop and prop? If so, do I just chop the top off where its sparse? I appreciate any help!

CorranQFrom my limited experience they’ll also do this from having too much water… it’s like they stretch out if they have too much of a good thing going 🤣

Good to know! I water maybe once a week possibly less. Have you chopped from the middle?

They’re generally pretty resilient so you could decapitate it and put the top in a new pot with soil and it’ll for sure keep growing while the original will probably sprout a bunch of babies from the cutting point and turn bushy over time…. So depends on what you’d like to do! As for watering, I’m still figuring out “the right amount” all these years later 🤣🤣🤣

Fair warning? Echeverias go crazy so you will end up having dozens of baby echeverias over time 🤣🤣🤣

They come in a wide range of different colours so it’s hard to say without knowing which specific echeveria yours is! But they are sun lovers!
