Someone gave me this beauty and I have it in water right now. How do I propagate it? Do I leave it in the water and wait for roots to grow or do I put it directly in dirt help please? I don’t want it to die.

    I believe you can technically do either, but I personally have more success with propagating my plants in water first and then transition to soil. You can see the roots growing that way and regularly check in on their health. Once the roots are at least 2 inches long and have offshoots (roots growing off another root), it’s ready to be potted into soil. When transitioning from water to soil like that, I usually try to keep the soil even moist for the first week, then I go back to a normal watering routine of letting the soil dry out enough in between waterings to avoid root rot.

      You can also keep it in water indefinitely as long as you also use a hydroponic fertilizer once the roots are there!
