Petals n pothos

I'm attempting to propagate a few really big sections of a golden pothos to eventually plant outside near the base of a giant silver oak in my front yard. I'm in South Florida and huge golden pothos are everywhere here. Does anyone have any idea how long it will take one this size to start to develop roots while propagating in water? With the smaller ones I've taken from outdoors it seems to be about 3-4 weeks to get solid root growth, so I'm just wondering if it works the same with leaves/nodes this big. Should I add fertilizer or root hormone?

It’s really dependent on the plant, my pothos seem to take about 2 weeks, and I usually end up potting 1-2 months later. Leaves this big will probably make this process longer. Rooting hormone can definitely help! I like to add fertilizer from the get go but some people say to wait until you see root growth.

These leaves are about a third the size of the biggest ones from that particular vine. They get absolutely enormous here when they grow unbothered outdoors.

It could take a little longer to get roots because of all the energy the large leaves take in. Leave only one leaf per cutting to allow more energy to go to build roots. Keep it warm and away from drafts and cold windows. Add a grow light to get it 12 hours of bright light per day. I add fertilizer and SuperThrive plant vitamins after the roots emerge. Rooting hormone can help.

Thank you! The cuttings are individual, there are just three of them in the pot. How much do you dilute down the fertilizer?

I dilute the fertilizer 50% for all my plants and fertilize twice a month. I use the same solution in water propagations. I start with a weaker solution (25%) to test if the cuttings can take it for cuttings I have no experience with growing. Then, I increase to a 50% solution with each water change or at least every two weeks.
