Hi everyone, I just found out the incredibly hard way that my monstera did in fact have root rot. This is all that’s left. Is there any way i Could save this by putting it in water/making a cutting? Or is it too late for my OG plant. This was the first plant I ever bought that started me off on my journey so a little sad here, however its sister from the same nursery pot is still thriving. But I named them Mickey and Minnie, I will be heartbroken if we lose Mickey😂 Thanks in advance. Let me down gently is there’s no coming back😂🙏🏻

    I unfortunately had this same thing with my pothos. I’ve put mine in water and I definitely can see some growth!!

    There's still a dormant root node, so I'm sure if you trim off the black and rot, it may activate there. Be sure to let any cut callous over for a few minutes (20-30 is usually good) before popping it in water
