My dad has had this cutting for about a year and a half and it is not growing at all. The cutting is sentimental to him and I want to know if there’s any way to make it grow.

Moss has zero nutrition. So ideally say it could probably use a diluted fertilizer. And more light (gradually Increase to avoid scorching)

Heating pad and lots of light
2 LikesI’m assuming it’s a pothos. That’s probably why it survived like a weed with no roots for so long. The nodes at the base of the leaf have to go under water or under soil to sprout roots. Thats why it has not grown out roots in the moss. I would remove it from moss and put it in water. It’s easier to see the progress in water. My pics show short cuttings in water. The Callisia Fragrans (Basket Plant) was growing at an odd angle. So, I placed it horizontally in a small container to get the nodes underwater. I fertilized with diluted fertilizer and SuperThrive plant vitamins after the roots appear. I changed the water when it got too cloudy. Bright light and warm temperatures help a lot as already recommended.
