Hi everyone! I have these elephant bushes that were given to me in pretty bad condition. They've been getting better but a lot of the branches are super lanky like the ones pictured. I've been trimming and propagating the pieces, would it be a good idea to plant the rooted props in the areas of empty soil to make the plant thicker overall?? Or should I just keep trimming and waiting for new growth?? Thank you!!

    I always plant my trimmings back into the same pot. Over time it makes for a nice full looking plant!

      Perfect that's great to know!! I have been doing that for my vining plants but wasn't sure if it was a good move for this kind of plant. Thanks for the help!

    You could do that or you could let it riiiide. I was given one from an old neighbor who passed about 3 years ago. It was the saddest little thing, all dead branches and like …6 leaves. It looks like this now:

      Wow yours looks great!! Im excited for mine to start growing downwards instead of upwards I guess it will just take time😊

    I am wondering if this plant needs more sun??? Good lighting will usually cure leggyness. Good luck! 😊💚🪴

      It might be that, my mom gave it to me and she had kept it outside in the shade! I put it in the brightest spot in my house hoping to bring it back to life. Thanks for the help!!
