Hello ! I’m very new to plants but I got this plant that’s been given to me that’s been growing in the water how do I properly transfer it over to soil in a pot ? ◡̈

    Once the cutting has properly developed multiple roots around 1-2 inches (can be less but bigger = better) find a suitable pot for the size of the roots (this varies from plant to plant as some like to be more snug) and potting medium, but for this tradescantia you can just use regular potting soil, and fill the bottom of the pot with some stones for added drainage. Then just lightly fill in a crater and pop the plant in ensuring the soil around the plant and its root is compressed a bit, and give her a little drink and you’re golden!

      additionally you may even want to separate this cutting into multiple smaller ones if you desire to create a more full and bush like plant, may also help give you a better chance at success since you’ll have multiple attempts here’s mine it’s just started to flower :)
