My Pilea has been suffering and I’m trying to talk myself into chopping and propping. When doing so, should I cut the top part (with leaves) off, cut a section of the stem off, and then leave the bottom part of the stem in the soil? Also, is it better to let Pilea callus over before placing in water or do they prefer to go straight in? (The brown/black leaves have been removed. I would probably cut where the straps are placed)

You URGENTLY need to rid any of your plants with that brown stuff it’s super contagious and you need to cut it off and any other plants with that , it’s a parasite/infestation this happened to my moms plants

And do you think it could be saved? Like is it a soil thing that could be fixed with some time in water and then back into the soil??
