My dwarf umbrella tree is not doing well. Should I cut the top off and propagate?

    Hmm, that doesn't look promising. Sorry. Does that pot have drainage?

      Yes the pot has one large hole at the bottom

    I’m not sure this plant can be rescued. that blackness you see through the stem and leaves is necrosis and it extends all the way to the top, I don’t really see any healthy tissue left to work with. They’re also shriveled up rather extensively at the stems… Just as notes: The pot looks huge to me for what I suspect are a very small amount of roots. It’s likely you’ve been overwatering as a result, which caused what roots it has to die off. You’ll know for sure if you take it out of the soil and have a look…
