Hi! Me again. I planted some cut flower seeds at the end of April and the growth seems to be stunted! I did not space them (obviously lol) and used an organic garden bed soil. Why do they look like they are dying? What am I doing wrong? Too much sun? Not enough water? Or am I dramatic and everything looks normal? There are cosmos, zinnias, dahlias, snapdragons. I’m in Central Texas! And I’m new to all things plants. 🌱

First question - are they getting enough sunlight?

We know that everything germinates and sprouts at different times. So far I can see Zinnias, but all types should be there since mine are all popping up in Georgia. Did you have any cold snaps after you planted? Was the soil at least 50° when you planted? It’s not a do or die situation. I just am wondering. I need to examine your picture a little better. I’m trying to figure out why your Zinnia leaves are pointing up like that.

I would suggest watering more. They need to be watered quite a bit outside specially in the hot sun.

No cold snaps here! I’m thinking I may have planted too late as our summer started very very early here. I definitely will water more as well.
