This snake plant has roots so what would be the best way to propagate it? Should I still cut it in a v shape or clean up the roots and stick it in water?

Plant Fatheri would remove the dead foliage and any dead roots then plant in a well-draining media in a small pot. i would only put it in water if you plan on keeping it in water indefinitely. all plants, but succulents especially, struggle when transitioning from water to soil

AnnaI would clean up the roots and place it in filtered water in a window sill. That’s what’s worked best for me
