If I take the roots off the top node and plant it with the roots on the bottom will it produce a leaf. I was told its a mini monstera

    How large does a “mini” Monstera get?

      Not sure hers was about 2 feet tall

      No but she has taken several starts off it. this is the one I just got

      The plant in the pic is a regular monstera deliciosa. Mini monsteras are actually not monsteras at all, their scientific name is raphidophora tetrasperma.

    To answer your question, the cutting should produce a leaf from the top node of the bottom node is buried. You might get a leaf from the bottom node since the cutting is short. I wouldn’t even cut off the top roots to see if they can get water to the cutting even with only the tips of the top roots buried.

      You can try putting it on its side and partially bury the side with most roots.
