Can I propagate this in soil?? If so, what are the best tips and tricks?? I noticed a dead leaf in my golden pothos so I plucked it out and this is what it was attached to! No roots….yet. But isn’t that a viable node 👀👀

This should work. You can propagate it. I’ve seen shorter stems on pothos cuttings.

Nodes usually propagate best in sphagnum moss. Though it’s a pain to take all the pieces out the roots later!😟 I keep the nodes in a more humid environment until they root, grow a leave, and are ready to move into normal soil. You can propagate straight in soil but it has a lower success rate and can rot the node sometimes

I’m gonna give it a try in soil just because I never have and this came from an already flourishing plant so I wanna experiment haha (I don’t have high hopes LOL)
1 LikeI put mine in water first and let it grow roots and then place it into soil (water more frequently due to going from hydro to soil), hasn’t failed me yet!

Nice to know! I have 6 other plants in water that haven’t made much progress but hopefully they survive and then thrive!
