definitely let it grow more roots first. also make sure the plant is clean of any dirt

The roots needs to be alot bigger and have secondary roots or it won’t be able to support the big leaves. The water needs to be rain water or filtered water not tap. Every week top up water don’t empty as there will be growth hormones in the water detrimental to the plant. Use a hydroponic liquid fertiliser once every 3-4 weeks, a standard liquid fertiliser will not be enough nutrients for it. You may lose some roots if it had them before as it grows water roots. Just keep checking stem health. Good luck ☺️

I’m new to this and I’m reading your comment hoping to learn. Does the tap water comment apply to propagating all plants?🌱

Yes unfortunately. There are alot of chemicals in tap water.

I have used as a last resort, definitely not straight from the fridge. Filtered water is a better option, you can pick up cheap filter jugs off Amazon.
