Where do I clip tradescantia legs to grow roots? And how do I grow roots on clippings?

Chop below a node (where a leaf leaves the stem) take off the lowest leaf. And pop into water or soil. Rooting hormone will speed up the process but not totally necessary

I cut below a mode then just shove the cuttings straight back into the soil- I find that works faster than waiting for water roots

I would cut a little further out from a leaf (~.5 inch) strip off a leaf and throw it in water. Change the water every 2 days (to prevent algae I think?). My current prop is a silver inch plant named hope and she’s doing really well. I’ll update her photo so you can see where she’s growing in roots. She’s almost ready for soil and it’s only been a week! She’s in one of my best spots for sunlight
