i’m new to the plant world and not sure on what i should be looking for on my plants. my sensitive plant has had these white spots on its leaves since i brought it home about a week ag. they don’t have mealy bugs or anything but i’m just wondering if it’s something else. should i just clean the leaves? or is it a mildew or something like that? thank you!

You should try cleaning the leaves. My first guess was water spots, but I’ve never seen mildew on plants so I could be wrong

that’s what i was thinking. my towns water has a lot of lime in it so that would make sense. thank you!

Definitely just water spots. Powdery mildew looks a lot different and even feels different to the touch! I’d give a good shower and wipe very careful as leaves are so delicate!

considering it’s a sensitive plant, i wouldn’t recommend cleaning in. just give it a light rinse next time you water it- any movement costs the plant valuable energy.
