Okay so I am doing some major rehabilitation on these montsteras, but I’m also not a super experienced plant dad. I had some root rot and had to do some major pruning/cutting roots and I want to know best path forward. There’s some rot in the node? of two of them that I am concerned means I should cut below it? Also there’s obviously not enough roots to support he there leaves of that plant so I need to cut and propagate- suggestions for best path with that? I’m also open to cutting along some of the other ones if there are better spots for cutting? To be clear I have four separate plants at this point in time

Cut any dead roots and definitely water propagation is the best choice in my experience and then if you want you can move it back to soil

As for the one with leaves? Should I cut that into smaller chunks or you think it’s fine to water propagate as is?

I think it’s fine to go straight into water propagation from experience

Do you think these two should also be water propagated or do they have enough roots left to put back in soil?

I also do have leca as an option

Personally I’ve never used leca but I heard good things and for me I would put it in water till I have long stringy root from my plant before putting back in soil

Give any roots a good rinse as well so you can tell if they are good or not before cutting

I’ve done water and perlite propagation and both have worked well. I’ve also put my cuttings from regular water propagation (once they began showing signs of roots) into LECA with the appropriate water solution. It’s done great!

I love Leca it helps with airflow which aroids like Monsteras love.

I also would rinse the roots with a peroxide water combo just to kill off anything bad.
