I attempted to propagate these succulent leaves, but haven't had any success. I let the ends callus over for two days before placing them in soil and lightly misting them, but they seem to be deteriorating. I'm also trying to propagate a stem cutting (shown in the first photo). Today, I moved everything to a different pot. The stem on the right is another propagation from the same plant. Do you have any tips for successfully propagating succulent leaves and stems? In the second photo, the stem on the left is the “mother plant.” She had gotten quite leggy (as you can see in the last photo), so I decided to trim her back. Any advice on helping her recover and stay healthy would be appreciated!

That happened to me the first few times I tried, and I suspected that the soil was too wet, so this time I just let just the bottom part sit on the soil and kept the soil pretty dry and misted it very lightly every few days, and it finally worked! (Btw, I live in a very dry and hot climate. 100 deg F outside already, and the mother plant was in the shades outside) So far all of them sprouted new roots. I’m wondering if your soil or your room is too humid for your succulent🤔

Did you let the leaves callous? I’ve found that when I do that, it makes them limp so they already aren’t in the best shape when I place them in soil. They were placed around other plants, I’m not sure exactly what the humidity is it but where I live is considered “low” humidity Very glad that you managed to successfully propagate them👏

Some of the leaves naturally fell off so I think they were already dried enough. I let the fresh leaves callous for maybe just a day or two, enough to see the protective layer cover the cut part. Two of them I placed on soil right away, but since the soil was dry, it calloused naturally. It took about a week or two for some of the roots to show up, but so far all methods worked, so my conclusion was the wet soil for me. I also tried with other succulents and some took a month to show root, so my advice is patience and keep adjusting to what your plant seems to like! Hope yours work! They’re so cute when they show roots:) Good luck!

Be so honest with succulent props i find it better just to leave them be and water just ever once in awhile, these are about 2ish months old and there striving and i water very like 3 week with just a splash(don’t mind the over crowding u got kinda lazy 🫣)

Don’t give up. Just keep misting them.
