Hello! I have this spider plant I’ve had for almost two years , and I noticed now it’s got like 4 plants in one pot. Should I separate them?! I’m not sure if I should now since it has two new shoots coming in I’m assuming are for flowers or pups. What should I do? Leave it alone?

Definitely could if you want, I’d take a look at the roots first and wait until each one has enough of its own to split. You want it to still be healthy enough to handle the shock & have enough good established roots to repot. & if you want to get those pups first, then I’d wait for those to grow & establish before hacking at the plant. Or you could leave it how it is growing if you like it, up to you! ☺️🌱

& if the roots are starting to crowd that pot, definitely consider sizing up for room for new growth! 🖤

I would leave them alone. The nursery puts several plants in one pot to make it look fuller. Spider plant roots are thick. They like to be snug. There is no need to repot unless the drain holes are blocked and damaging the plant. My 6 inch pot of Bonnie spider plant has about 12 plants in it as shown in the picture.

Also, it’s not easy to separate spider plant roots which grow like thick fingers without breaking the roots.
