I propagated this heart-leaf philodendron about a month ago and it’s giving me only one supperrr long root, literally just one? I’ve never seen that before so I’m wondering if it’ll still be okay to transfer to soil or continue to keep in water and wait?
It’s fine to place in soil when the roots are at least 2 inches long. It will eventually put out secondary roots. You should fertilize it in water as soon as roots appear. That helps root growth. 🪴🍀
4개 좋아요 That’s what I usually do but I’m just concerned with how long that one root is, wondering if it’s going to run out of room, and will growth drops help the growth or do you use another kind of fertilizer?
좋아요 1개 I just use Miracle Gro with SuperThrive Plant vitamins for all my plants. I use Osmocote timed release granules on plants that arrive with fertilizer beads. The beads last from 4 months to 8 months.
