Would it be ok to take a cutting from sphagnum moss, dip it in rooting powder, and transfer it to water propagation instead? I got this philodendron Florida ghost cutting for free, because this one has been in sphagnum moss for about a month and hasn’t rooted. The nodes don’t look super promising to me, but I’m wondering if there’s some way I can save it. Do y’all think it would help to add rooting powder and transfer to water? Keep it in the sphagnum moss? What would you do? (I also got 2 other cuttings that are rooted and have new growth, so it’s not the end of the world if I can’t save it!)

Don’t give up. My monstera Peru took MONTHS to sprout roots in sphagnum.

I put my philodendron directly in moist soil. I had air roots and pinned them down and covered them with soil. They’ve been thriving since I got this app.
