Hi! Hope your all doing well! As well as your plant babies 🌱🪴🎀 Just wondering if anyone here knows how to grow acorns? I am trying one way but wondering what evryone else's ideas and ways are? Thanks!

You could place it in a sealed container with enough distilled water to cover half the corm and just let it be. Within a few weeks or so you will start to see it sprout roots. Once you see strong enough roots you could plant it in a substrate of your choice.

Take a paper towel, fold it twice so it's in a 4 layer square. Get it damp but not soaking. Put your acorns in between the layers, then seal the whole thing in a ziplock sandwich baggie. Put that in the fridge (not freezer) for at least 2 weeks to simulate winter. Check them occasionally to see if it needs to be re-dampened. When you're ready/past your frost free date, plant them up in pots and leave them somewhere with full sun. I've not noticed them having any preference between being group-potted or put in a seed starter tray. Protect them from squirrels, mice, and chipmunks. It's also wise to plant more than you think you'll need, as some won't germinate and you'll likely lose some to their first winter
