Trying to propagate these string of turtles cuttings. I’m new to caring for plants, so any suggestions would be appreciated! I’m just keeping the ends in water and changing the water every few days. Is there a better way to do this? Are they looking ok? Should I keep it out of direct light?

You might have better success just laying them on some damp spagnum moss and putting a plastic bag over it. They need a ton of humidity

I would be careful with the third one to the right as at the end it’s gotten rot I’d suggest cutting that off

My Peperomia props take so so so long to grow roots in water. I’m currently propagating some in perlite and the roots are growing faster than my water prop ones, but still very slow compared to all the other props I have going right now

Do I just put keep them in the jar, but fill it with the perlite? I’ve never used it before, so I’m not sure how to. 😬

the ends of these look a little iffy. are any of them mushy? the third one specifically looks rotten. if it’s squishy, cut off all the mushy stem and try again with the firm remaining bits. if you have perlite i’d highly recommend using that instead to propagate these, it’ll reduce the chances of rot, and they’ll transition to soil easier

Don't change the water!! The plant releases growth hormones into the water that encourage roots to grow. Just try to fill it up whenever water gets low!
