I accidentally propagated some Tradescantia Jose Puig cuttings in a ziplock bag. I planned to place the cuttings in soil the day after clipping them. So, I put them in the bag with a wet paper towel to prevent dryness overnight. It fell to a chair seat near a window during cleaning. Found it three weeks later after moving the chair to make room for pots brought in from the cold. I will put them back into the original pot to make the plant fuller.

this is great. i had something similar happen when a piece of my kalanchoe tomentosa broke off and landed behind the plant stand. when i was cleaning things up a few months later i found it had grown an entire root system, partially into the carpet, despite having almost no light

Plants are survivors. I tried to intentionally propagate Bonnie spider plant babies in a bag and they rotted with black leaves within a week! I lost the ones above and they lived and even put out new growth without rotting one leaf.
