Can you prop golden pothos by applying rooting hormone to the cutting (making sure there’s at least one node) and sticking it in the soil? I’ve tried water propping these, but I’d like to try soil.

Didn’t work for me directly in soil with no hormone. Maybe with this additive you can succeed, try it :) Mine only root in water, it’s the easiest, one or two weeks in water then plant in soil works wonders
1 gillaI’ve rooted in soil with rooting hormone powder. It feels like it takes longer because I couldn’t see the roots without pulling the cutting out of the soil and sometimes breaking roots which can lead to bacterial infections. Plus, you have to keep the soil moist daily until roots form. It can be done. It is not as easy as water propagation. Water propagation makes it easier to see the progress.
