Help! I received these two pothos cuttings from a kind stranger. I read to keep them submerged for about 10 days until roots grow then plant. It’s been over 2 weeks and I don’t see any action. I’ve been changing water every few days and trying to keep them in the brightest spot in my house, although I don’t get a lot of direct sun in the winter. Any tips on what to do?

Yep, cuttings are looking good. Just be patient and don’t change the water so often.

I see roots developing on the glass in the right. And pretty much echoing everyone else give it time.

put them in the same glass, stop changing the water, they’ll be rooting soon.

I just started trying to prop cuttings from my pothos for the first time and have had some in water for almost 6 weeks with little to no growth! I’m in Florida, have tried some with grow lights and still no major movement! You’re not the only one!

You should get root growth in about two weeks. With 2 inches of growth in about a month. Is the cutting more than 3 nodes long? See my comment below.

How long are the cuttings? Long cuttings take forever to grow roots because they put energy into maintaining the leaves and long stems. You only need one or two nodes per cutting. Many sellers only provide one node per cutting. You can have three nodes if you put two nodes under water. Add SuperThrive plant vitamins when watering. You should see root growth in about 2 weeks on a pothos.
