A friend gave me some cuttings of her rhaphidophora tetrasperma and I cannot get it to root. Yesterday I cut it to make smaller cuttings to see if it would help. I read that this plant should be easy to prop so I don’t get it. Any advice ?

I agree with PlantyAnn that the cutting is too long with too many leaves. The energy is going into maintaining the leaves and stem. Cut it into pieces with 2 leaf nodes. Remove all leaves that are under water to prevent rot when you propagate the cut pieces. Place one leaf node under water. Add SuperThrive plant vitamins with weekly water change to boost root growth. Roots should grow within two weeks on the cuttings. Pot the cuttings in potting mix when the roots are over 2 inches. 🍀🪴

Have you ever added pothos cuttings to a monstera prop?

I like to jumpstart my cuttings in stratum and then move it to a different medium once it begins to root. :)
