Hello! New to plants (keeping them alive at least!) and propagating! I have this pothos cutting that I have had in water for over a month and finally saw these roots this morning! Any advice as to if I should continue keeping them in water or should I try plantains in soil? Thank you!

I would wait to plant in soil until the roots are at least 3 inches (I’d wait for yours to have just a little more length) with some secondary roots as well (roots off of roots!)

I’ve also read that when you do plant in soil, to keep the soil consistently moist for a few days as it acclimates to not being in water! This should help it establish better in its new medium. And make sure to not plant it in too big a pot!

    Wait for secondary roots!

I think you could plant now or wait, pathos tend to be pretty flexible plants, you can also add a little bit of soil to your water or put something dark around your propagation jar to get the roots to grow faster. It tricks the plant to thinking it’s in soil.
