This is the first plant I’m propagating, and I’m pretty sure it’s a golden pothos. I cut it about an inch, inch and a half below a node, and I burnt a leaf on accident in a window sill 🤦 any tips are welcome, but why is the node and the one next to it turning white? Is it new growth? I change the water every week, and add a little hydrogen peroxide for oxygen. Also, is there any way to speed up the growing process without using fertilizer? Thanks in advance!

The white node looks like a root! Around the knuckle there is about where roots sprout out.

Your welcome! Looks like you’re doing everything just fine. Not sure if that’s too much water in there or if that would even be an issue.

the “knuckle” you’re referring to is actually the node. those are roots growing out of the node. i’d lower the water level so it just barely covers the node. also, the only way to “speed up” growth is adding a bit of fertilizer. this doesn’t actually speed anything up but allows the plant to grow at its own pace— having it in water with barely any nutrients significantly slows growth
