I’m trying so hard to be patient with my props 😅 I’ve had no trouble propagating my own cuttings for a while now, so I decided to challenge myself and buy some props of plants that I don’t have. Of course, some of the ones I’m most invested in aren’t doing so hot. The Florida ghost had a great looking aerial, but it turned out to be snapped near the stem, so that was no help. I’ve got most of them in a mix of sphagnum, perlite, and stratum. Maybe I should have gone straight water prop. It’s stressful watching the stems pucker with little to no new root growth. But I’m sure I’m not helping by poking and prodding every 15 minutes 😮‍💨 Wish me luck

    Luck! Keep us updated, what all do you have here I see a frydek and the adansonii, what else is here? Personally I find that watching informational videos on new plants/props, and doing research on them helps pass the time and gives me the information I need to feel confident caring for said plant lol

      Good idea! I definitely could use more knowledge on the frydek. It’s my first time growing an alocasia corm. But it has happy little roots! I went kinda ham with local hobbyist sellers. So I’ve got the A. frydek var. corm, M. adansonii “double window,” D. “string of nickels,” T. pringlei var., P. “pink princess,” P. “Florida ghost,” P. micans “halo,” P. bipennifolium var., M. lechlariana var., E. pinnatum marble, and S. pink splash. A lot of them were mystery cuttings and I’m so thrilled at the selection I was given 🤩 They’re gunna grow, darn it! 😂🪴🥰

      That sounds like a great assortment! Though I’m not very experienced yet with plants so I dont know what a few of them are. I’m glad your Frydek has happy roots though! I got my first Alocasia Polly a few days ago and luckily it still looks pretty happy! But I believe that your props will grow! Happy I could give some advice that was actually useful ☺️🪴
