After six days of propagating the reverse spider plant babies, I am excited to see the roots starting to grow! I would appreciate any advice on how long I should wait before transferring them into soil. Thanks!

    You can plant them, now. Spider plants don’t need water propagation unless you like watching the roots. They propagate well in soil. You can add rooting hormone powder as a bonus. I also add SuperThrive plant vitamins each month to get the plants established faster. Keep the soil moist, not saturated, until the transplant shock ends, since you have plenty of roots. Then, water regularly.

    I usually wait until they have at least 3-4” of roots, that way they have more of a chance of surviving 😁👍🏻 This curly Bonnie Bonnie baby is nearly ready & then I’ll have to keep them damp so they adjust & don’t get shocked going from wet conditions to dry..

    How do you get started with propagating this plant? I have an established plant but the bottom of the plant is dying and I want to save the top?

      Do you have any plant offshoots? These small versions the plant, also known as spiderettes, can be easily propagated by planting them in soil or water. This is the only way i know of to propagate this plant.
