Has anyone used a heat mat for propagations before? I’ve heard of them being used for seed starting and theoretically it would help any heat-loving plant grow 🤔 But I feel like it would take a bit of extra attention to make sure the props don’t dry out too quickly. Has anyone tried it and felt like it was or wasn’t worth it? PSA: I’m always an advocate for the use of a thermostat shutoff in conjunction with any heating device, in case anyone else wants to try it too. Safety first 😁

Most of my seed germinate within a week or 2 so I never had the need but I am experimenting a heat mat on low to see if it helps with the variegation my philodendron paraiso verde. Fingers crossed 🤞🏽

Yes, I’ve heard that too! I just got a paraiso verde this summer that had nice variegation and then immediately put out an all green leaf as soon as temps dipped 😂 So I could try it on that plant as well

If you use the mat I would default to also using a dome to reduce moisture loss
